qEEG and Mini-Q Assessment

mini q brain map qEEG - A quantitative EEG is a computer analysis of the EEG signal, typically using 19 or more channels of simultaneous EEG recording under specific recording conditions. This EEG data is compared against a reference database of other "normal" EEGs. The analysis identifies and highlights variations from the norm.

Mini quantitative EEG - The Mini quantitative EEG assessment is conducted in 2 - 6 minute sessions set in 1-minute epochs. The Mini qEEG assessment shows the clinician exactly if the client's brain is over or underactive on certain points which causes symptoms like attention deficit, depression, anxiety, concentration problems etc.

Preparing for your Mini-Q Assessment
Please read the following instructions prior to your scheduled Mini-Q recording session - strict adherence is required.
*Client should be well rested (good nights sleep) before the test. Any disturbances in sleep should be noted with the technician doing the recording.
*For children, please be sure they are well fed prior to the test so they are comfortable and more cooperative.
*Call to reschedule your testing if the client is ill. We do not want to conduct the recording if the client is ill.
*The client should have clean and dry hair for the appointment. Wash hair with a ph neutral shampoo, such as Neutrogena non-residue shampoo (Suggested Not Manditory). Do not use any hair products (i.e. hairspray, gel) the day of the test.
*Do not drink anything with caffeine within 3 hours prior to the test. Drinking water is recommended as it hydrates the skin.
*If the client is on medication that is normally taken please bring a complete list of those prescriptions to the office with you.
*The test is a bit messy! Do not plan any important meetings, special dates, or photo sessions after testing without the understanding that you will need to briefly rinse and comb your hair. It is really nothing to be concerned, just prepared! - Bring a Comb!
